Agency & Family Partnerships
Family partnership must take place at every level of decision making and is essential to System of Care being successful. It is this collaboration and partnership between families, service providers and other community partners that links and embodies successful programs, policies and practices. PBH encourages family partnerships on every level and presently has family involvement in multiple collaborative forums throughout our System of Care. Some of those collaborative forums include, but are not limited to: High Risk Teams, SOC Commuity Collaborative, Advisory & Network Councils, Consumer Family Advisory Committee (CFAC), Client Rights Committee, Consumer Affairs, Clinical Advisory Committee, Cultural Competence Committee, and Global Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.

PBH's System of Care is fundamentally changing the relationship between families and the service system at every level. Families now provide services, act as advocates for change, mentor other families, shape programs, create policies and carry out public service agendas. While the specifics may vary, family-centered or family driven care is rapidly becoming accepted as best practice whether in health care, education, mental health, substance abuse or other service arenas. Whatever the definition, they all include the fundamental principle of respectful partnership, resulting in measurable and direct positive benefits for families, children, providers, and the community at large.
