Homeless Shelters are designed to serve an
individual or family lacking a fixed, regular
and adequate nighttime residence.
Transitional Housing is a type of
supportive housing used to facilitate the
movement of homeless individuals and
families to permanent housing. Transitional
Housing is usually provided for periods
between 6 and 24 months, and the
supportive services are to prepare them to
live more independently.
Permanent Supportive Housing is longterm,
community-based housing that has a
supportive services component for persons
with disabilities.
Independent Rental Housing is for those
individuals and families who have
become self-sufficient and are able to live
independently without on-site supports.
Home Ownership is the final step in the
housing continuum for those who are selfsufficient
and have resources that enable
them to purchase their own residence. |
